Program overview

As an Intra Oral Dental Assistant, students learn to receive and prepare patients for treatment, sterilize and set out dental instruments and materials, process X-rays, assist dentists during procedures and record dental procedures performed. The program also covers administrative duties such as answering telephone calls and coordinating appointment schedules. The 51-week diploma includes a 4-week practicum and prepares graduates for the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) recognition.
