Program overview

As an Early Childcare Assistant, students assist and participate in the day-to-day operations of a childcare center, helping to provide a nurturing, caring environment in which young children can thrive while observing and guiding children throughout the day. Children look to the Early Childcare Assistant to provide support and supervision as they play and experience things together, making the role crucial to a young child's early development. The program combines in-school hours with infant, toddler, and preschool practicum placements.
